How do I estimate the cost of Music Production?

Use our calculator on this page to estimate the cost of music production. Many variables can be considered, with budget possibly determining your choice of methods for production.

This calculator offers a way to gauge the relationship of various recording methods and instrumentations to the bottom line.

Tracks can be recorded in the following ways:

  • at the same time, in a recording studio, played together by musicians
  • with a combination of midi and live instruments
  • with stems delivered asynchronously by our network of musicians with home project studios
  • entirely by your arranger in his project studio using instrument samples triggered by midi

Vocals can be tracked at the studio with everybody, usually with the voice in isolation, enabling overdub fix sessions and re-tracking as needed.
