The Music Arranging Process

From your provided material (an mp3, YouTube Link, pdf sheet music, recording of you singing your tune, or anything else you can imagine) we transcribe the melodyA sequence of single pitches perceived as a unit, usually the main theme or tune in a piece of music., figure out the chords or harmonic scheme if needed, then begin the process of arrangingThe process of adapting a piece of music for a different ensemble, style, or performance context..

We might ask you a lot of questions at this stage, about your ensemble, skill level of the members, whether you need notationA system of symbols used to write down music. or tracks primarily, or both.

We create music notation files in the industry-leading Finale software for your specified combination of voices and instruments, in whatever style you specify.

Working from your “brief” (your instructions for instrumentationThe array of different instruments or sounds incorporated in a musical score, style, and “sounds like” examples), we put the piece together in Finale. We can add intros, codas and endings, transitions and interludes, countermelodies, and all the other aspects that comprise an arrangementrefers to the structure and order of musical elements in a composition, such as melody, harmony, rhythm, and instrumentation., either matching the source, or creating a uniquely personal statement that sets your work apart from all the others on the market.

When it’s complete, we send a set of proofs for your review, consisting of audio playback files from the scoreA written representation of a piece of music, including the notation for all parts of an ensemble., or screenshots of the score, or both.
