Back in 2011, the New York Pops commissioned me to arrange “klezmer” versions of three selections from Tchaikovsky’s beloved ‘Nutcracker Suite” for their holiday concerts at Carnegie Hall. I’m happy to report that all went well, and that A Klezmer Nutcracker continues to be heard far and wide.
This coming holiday, the piece will be on the following concerts:
- November 25, 2017 – Orlando Philharmonic, “Home for the Holidays”
- December 2-3, 2017 – Richmond Symphony, “Let It Snow!”
- December 2-3, 2017 – Tulsa Symphony, “Home for the Holidays”
- December 16, 2017 – Charleston Symphony, “Annual Holiday Pops”
